US tariff policy is having unexpected consequences for consumers — in some places. Coffee is becoming cheaper in Brazil, and in Mexico tomatoes are less expensive. US shoppers, meanwhile, are facing rising grocery bills.
I’m in Canada and I’m hoping for more direct trade that excludes that US, there was the whole “buy Canadian” movement and I dig it, but it should be “don’t buy American” i don’t have a problem buying European or South American goods. Hopefully that would lower prices on non American items.
The tariffs have lifted on our end and American products have dropped back in price, but im still going to avoid them.
