It would be hypocritical to own investment properties while telling other people not to. It wouldn’t be hypocritical to campaign for making it illegal to have them (which would affect you all the same). In both scenarios your are contributing to the problem, but you aren’t a hypocrite in both.

It would be hypocritical to own investment properties while telling other people not to.
It wouldn’t be hypocritical to campaign for making it illegal to have them (which would affect you all the same).
In both scenarios your are contributing to the problem, but you aren’t a hypocrite in both.
