I used treats to teach my cat to come to me when I ring a bell.
She already knew the sound of a treat dropping on the hard floor so I would ring the bell and then drop the treat. Eventually I switched to just ringing the bell and she would come running.

Right, but it’s possible to execute those API requests to trigger those expensive database requests in a way that wouldn’t necessarily trigger cloudflare’s DDoS protection.
They explained that the attacks are in the form of requests that tax the database server, not the website itself.

I tried it a few months ago and had a similar experience. I do love the idea though.
Eventually, Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10. Sure, it will be around for a while, but I just assume upgrade and keep up with the latest version.
That being said, I do mainly use Linux. I just use Windows for gaming. I know Linux has improved a lot lately for running games, I just haven’t tried it out for that purpose yet.
