2 hours agoI’m so tired of “elites” ruling society. Neolibs in particular have a horrible habit of preserving corrupt power systems and undermining people rights. For example, the democratic establishment is actively trying to expand the surveillance state, while we’re at risk of a permanent authoritarian take over. Like, Wtf?
Honestly, I’m hoping some state creates a random-citizen option ballot. It’d be hilarious to get some random guy in congress who just rants about the rampant corruption. Plus, that type of systemic reform merges congress with a “people’s assembly” which are supposedly super resistant to corruption.
I’m up for just having congress appoint secretaries of whatever that report back to whichever committees are interested.
