That’s what drives me nuts about saying we “thrive” in stress. Equating being functional with doing well is so detrimental to our mental health, because we may be hitting deadlines but we are suffering miserably while doing so.

That weeklong “truce” really says it all about Israel.
Yeah there would almost certainly be a bunch of comments asking about what show it is and a bunch more espousing how great it is.
They always view those to the left as extremists who can’t be negotiated with, while those to the right are seen as useful idiots who can be exploited for political gain. See the conservative parties in Nazi Germany for how that “useful idiot” thing tends to work out.
Those are a big part of it, it’s also that our brain chemistry interacts with stimulants differently.
One of the major effects of stimulants is the increase in availability of dopamine. The under-stimulated feeling comes from a lack of dopamine due to the reward system not functioning properly in ADHD. When the stimulant forces a release of dopamine it’s not as “stimulating” to an ADHD brain that didn’t have much dopamine to begin with, whereas a neurotypical person experiences a huge abundance of dopamine and feels incredibly stimulated and energized.
Demand avoidance is a very common symptom of ADHD. If someone tells me I need to do something it instantly becomes very difficult to accomplish, no matter how much I myself want it done as well.
I can guarantee you that most of the right-to-travel people are also 100% against taxes of any kind. I have a coworker who believes no one should need a license or car registration and is also fully against any kind of taxes whatsoever. If you mention public roads he just says “we made do without them before”.
It might not be to the point of permanent damage, but you certainly wouldn’t be feeling good. You probably wouldn’t be iron deficient, but a lot of vitamins are only stored in small amounts in the body.
Not OP, but for me I would feel very tired and unfocused (more so than usual) for a day or two, then I would be back to my baseline. There aren’t really any physical or emotional withdrawal effects for me.
Not with stimulants, one of the major benefits of them is that they work immediately.
Only because those radicals have thus far been useful idiots. Trump certainly bit them in the ass and turned the party on its head, but the party is still supporting capital. Had he come out the gate with a crusade on corporate America his campaign would have faltered very quickly.
This is how I see it. It’s probably a fairly fluid part of someones sexual identity, but it is identity nonetheless. Though I would argue most people aren’t poly, as there’s a pretty big difference between having multiple sexual partners and multiple romantic partners, as well as between one person with multiple partners and several people all in a relationship together.
There is some overlap, but it’s different in how they play out internally. With depression it’s usually a pack of energy or motivation to do it, whereas with ADHD there may be plenty of energy (and even motivation) but there’s an inability to stop and change gears. There’s usually an internal struggle of “I really need to do that” but being incapable of actually making the decision to do so.
What incentive does the coroner have? They get none of the payout. They don’t play a part in setting the value or bidding either.
