Yeah my kids are mostly kids when I talk about them
You’re absolutely right, but haven’t I read that they’re learning to lie about their presence in the manophere? So if it’s, say 10% who actively think and act that way, plus 15% passively subject themselves to it without going all in, but who aren’t really judging, that’s 1/4 guys who I wouldn’t risk a relationship with, many of whom are actively hiding their positions. I can see why it wouldn’t be worth it to date any man. Especially for someone with her experiences.
And my IRL impression is that it’s way more guys than 15% who intentionally expose themselves to it, and slightly more than 10% who fully buy into the misogyny.
Is the jet going even if you don’t, with the same other passengers?
I don’t have the ability to easily verify users. A user verification service would be great. I think it could work decentralized, but maybe have a separate service for it. Servers independently authenticate, and federate with each other. If one starts authenticating poorly, defederate.
I don’t think it’s a good fit within Lemmy or Mastodon, or … Because I don’t think someone who runs a server wants to bother with it. It needs to be it’s own service that integrates with other services.
Doesn’t take a Senate majority to send a judge to Cecot
even devs who’ve worked for 10+ years make dumb mistakes
everyso, so often.
there, I fixed it for you
I’ve also found it very helpful with configuration files. It tells me how someone familiar with the tool would expect it to work. I’ve found it’s rarely right, but it can get me to something reasonable and then I can drill into why it doesn’t work.
Unfortunately they’re aware of the possibility and aren’t willing to risk that.
This isn’t 99 vs 100 tires is orders of magnitude of. Israel shouldn’t be targeting journalists. But there are all sorts of people they shouldn’t be targeting. They’re bad enough when we tell the truth, let’s not lie.
Who would it be, though? The closest I can think of is Jon Stewart. But he doesn’t seem to agree with the neoliberal establishment about much.
I love this example because flaming hot Cheetos are super popular outside the Latino market, too. I bet there’s not a middle school in the country where kids don’t love them.
I’m highly skeptical unless we’re excluding Jewish, LGBT, and other journalists who were killed for being Jewish, LGBT, etc., not for being journalists.
I’m not sure the Democrats even have ideological leaders.
That’s what I intended with sewing distrust. It certainly looks like market manipulation to me as well though.
The trade war appears to be about market manipulation. And sewing distrust of America. By repeatedly flip flopping they can buy and sell and make a killing in the markets. His wealthy allies are in on it and won’t care at all.
This is what he was elected to do and it won’t hurt him at all with the people who matter.
It’s pretty alarming as a citizen of the US as well. But our conservatives are upset over the signal leak and indifferent to the invasion of Greenland, so if we let trump distract is with the signal leak you lose.
He’s 100% serious and also using it as a distraction. Both things are true. For some reason everyone cares about the signal leak and only about half of us care about invading Greenland, or rendering immigrants to a slave prison.
Signal is a weakness and Greenland is an attempt at distraction. He fully intends to invade, but distraction is why he’s talking about it right now.
Their pocketbooks were morons for three generations, too.
A generation seems very generous. The only path back to US hegemony I see is Fascism: we’ve burned our bridges and I don’t think the world will be willing to work with us for a long time. But I don’t even think the current batch are interested in US hegemony.
That’s soft power for the country, he doesn’t care what happens to the country
