  • Even without much education, I was a geek in a rural location, one time a friend’s dad put a cigarette (half 3/4 done or so) on a fence cause we were having a competition and we hit them all. Mean the cigarette was only say 15 - 20 feet away but I I split it in half with a BB gun (yes no kick of course), probably luck but I was hitting the targets too and the dad figured no one would hit that one. It wasn’t a long range but I figure someone with access to a rifle should shoot fine enough if they practice even a bit if I can without access. I only shot a gun maybe a dozen times in total.

  • I’ve rewritten much of my code as needs changed, I call myself an idiot a lot since I’ve worked on this program nearly a decade and was my first professional software so often change old code I wrote. Though it was more additional at first since I used a lot of code the lead programmer did. Though he duplicated everything as needed for a tiny change ugh. Least I know how not to do it.

  • Yes and maybe not then. Look at Newton’s law, even it deals with psychology if not physical action and realize that we (under some theories) have free will to make the actions that will cause those. So something will happen to make you (or someone else) do an action and even if you (or they) don’t like it it happened. You can look at it from 1000 angles but either way someone with that personality would make it happen that way.

So gotta just accept, it is what it is, try and make it better and I hope it works out. Mean unless you can see the future and change things, we all are who we are, may. It be worth knowing or hanging out with but somebody probably made something you don’t want to happen, happen. C’est la vie.

  • I always liked the line in Dogma about them, don’t turn ideas into beliefs, you can change ideas easier than beliefs. Paraphrased and I understand how much it waters down the whole problem but I still thought the idea of it was nice. Listen and be open, you shouldn’t always need to be rigid. Though mean there are still ideals I’m rigid about, respect, compassion and such. Though I always thought the idea was you thought about what worked best for everyone not just what people said you should do cause tradition.

  • I’ve lived where tap water tasted like shit, not quite literally but eveytime I went home I’d have to remember not to drink the tap water. Eventually that town got a better water treatment plant but I can sort of see it from that angle. We always had the big 4gallon jugs (again may not be correct but the bigger jugs that sit on top for a dispenser) for regular drinking water

Thankfully where I moved to (many many kms away) the tap water was awesome, don’t live there now but I still do tap water over filtered for the most part. Never seems that much worse so may as well.

Really the only reason you’d drink the other tap water was cause you’re hungover…also been there. Then you remember that there’s a water dispenser somewhere in that house cause no one drank the water from the tap in the town. Even the better water wasn’t great but still noticably improved.

  • Ya heard of me?

Who hasn’t heard of…(Stop now before I type out the script).

He was hilarious, but I hope he knows he probably can’t do it quite the same and maybe get replaced by the novice, homogenized milk. I really got no idea what fat content of milk is used for yogurt but think you get the idea. He could even be quite fabulous.

  • Stimulant, dexedrine is what worked for me. At one point I tried a number others and they didn’t seem to work the same, even Adderall wasn’t the same but I know it’s very similar. Know Vyvanse was another, but know there were a couple other I don’t recall. First one was Ritilan but that gave me hives which took me a bit to register why they were happening, well two days but easy enough since it was the new thing.

  • I do not, no proof. If there was a god such as in the Bible why give us reasoning abilities when they give no proof? And if so, then I put forward the idea that if there is such a god, they don’t care if we believe so why bother?. Not to go all gamer but like the Sims, they made us and took out the pool ladder and saw what happened.

If there is a god that has such powers and cares, well fuck them cause they ain’t helping us it seems. If they are well we’re too far off course for it to matter, this playthrough is spiraling and it doesn’t matter if we believe or not cause we may be circling the drain.

So seems easier not to believe because if you do it’s more depressing.

Processing any shaders…every load time. I guess the upside of spending too much on hardware it doesn’t take as long as it could. I definitely ignored Hogwarts Legacy some game evenings cause it did that every time I played, it went away recently though and oddly I finished after being able to play right away.

One of the one games I’ve finished in like 3 years, which I assume is also an add thing, I don’t finish a lot, just try and get my entertainment value and hope for the best after. Currently not wanting to lock into the last mission of cyberpunk 2077 heh.

  • Hah I always confused the name with that one with the episode Disaster (had to look it up Picard and kids winning something), no wonder I rarely watched it. Cause I’m pretty sure they go up ladders in turbolifts in that one so just thought that was that episode. But I recall liking the backwards people starting fires. To be fair I don’t watch much TNG these days but still my favorite series by far (also haven’t watch a series since Enterprise so may need to catch up).

  • Yes I always think of that Simpsons line, this is the worse day so far. It doesn’t help any anxiety about the geopolitical situation even backdropped by an amusing sitcom. I do hope people learn better, but maybe we’ll see the way of nuking ourselves and wonder what happened while still being intolerant (as a whole, I know many individuals are cool but those are never in position of power it seems).

I limit my political stories these days after Trump’s first term I can’t handle the same input, not American but that doesn’t matter to the world’s outcome.

  • Recently bought a bunch of courses on music theory…why? Cause I bought cubase and figured I needed to understand how to make things sound good together. Plus I’ve always loved music and it seemed like a mystery in my knowledge. Now spent more time learning music theory than in the program. It’s a fun process. Just hope the fun doesn’t run out…though been awhile in the making so to say, so maybe ‘this’ one will stay. heh.
