For me it’s the sensory of the hot water, breathing in the steam, and having a place to be alone. My life is wall-to-wall tasking these days…being a parent with ADHD who has a toddler and a type-A personality partner who loves to delegate tasks is existentially exhausting.

From the perspective of someone who has been on Lemmy for a few years now, I’ll say that the amount of content here has become large enough for me to use Lemmy as a “daily driver” account. I don’t miss out on important news or updates by using Lemmy instead of Reddit…in fact it often feels quite the opposite
At least the driver was kind enough to drive it to Musk’s assistant’s place of business.
I can think of one way to get rid of it. Saw it on the news last week. He’s probably not going to like it.
Damn, I can see that being a really incredible tool for us. Do you mind if I ask which note app you use?
This is a really good idea

The Transit app has been quite helpful for me to replace Google Maps!
Pro-tip: a bicycle would never
JFC that’s dark.
To be honest I’ve found a really incredible community of like-minded people on BW and regularly find top quality book suggestions just from seeing what these people are reading. One key is to find your favorite books, and then follow lots of the same people who felt similar to you. Some will be misses and have bad recommendations going forward, but at least a handful will be very like-minded readers.
+1 for Mint, +1 for Ubuntu
I dont know much about the primary developers of Lemmy, but from what I can tell this is a part time labor of love project for them. Its unreasonable to ask people to push beyond their boundaries or capacity so that their pet project can become a 1:1 replacement for an incredibly mature platform like Reddit overnight
I’m not gonna lie, I tried it out of sheer curiosity
