Im on the fedi doin fedi things.

Peertube. You are already on the fediverse. So you know how it is. Its very much in the beginning phases still. And nitch. Although theres a ton of good videos out there. Just search by top and subscribe to who you like.

If all of the below doesnt work out, you can host git by itself. I did that at an office once.
https://gist.github.com/Kreijstal/28fc987270b71849505bbc89b3f2d90a steps look correct.
But for me forgejo worked out well for my side projects and mirroring.

It would be fun to create a CURL converter. Just simple aliases or conversion tool.
I just looked it up, looks like there may be something like it here: https://github.com/christianhelle/curlgenerator
I like the look of this: https://www.createopenapi.com/
I had a terracube. It litterally broke apart in my hands. The glue for the screen stopped working. And i tried to get it repaired only to be told they didnt support the first phone anymore. After less than two years.
I now have a fairphone 4. Much better device!
Ive always thought having options was a good thing.

RSS is great! Internet comes to you rather than the other way around. And its good in almost every device, even ebook readers.
The only issue is when websites tell you, ok there was an update, go to link here. And then you have to do one extra step. Its still better than endlessness scrolling though.
I use it with fediverse stuff too. Because accounts/communities can be RSS.
I just wish there was a way to do like top 10 of a community, then send it over via RSS for threadiverse stuff. Or even just the #hashtag topics mastodon and other use. That would be awesome.
5.00 and moving close to 6 thisvweek alone. Fun times

People have done it. The problem is the huge binary blobs for hardware. Its difficult without the hardware company themselves giving you the specs to make your own.
One of the reasons fairphone is supported on many alternate platforms.

Super close to 2k people joining the community!

I hope they give you the option for a more traditional one. I think https://postmarketos.org/ has many different ones for the same phone he got.
I was impressed by the other apps though. The basics are all there by the look of things.
They forgot about it with the latest distraction.
Probably. I have a couple of heltec v3s. I personally got 2 of them so I could test out the LoRa and placement before my solar setup was done. Now they are permanently wall nodes next to a window. Room (client) -> Solar (client_base) -> other nodes. Works well.
They are decent at most things EXCEPT solar because they take a bit of power and have a nasty habit of bootlooping at certain voltages. It only really occurs if you want them to be solar.
Its possible with very clear line of sight. But it might be difficult. At 1watt or below a “noicy” air conditioner may break up your signal.
Give it a shot with a cheap node and see what you get!

Agreed!

There is some good news. Theres enough esp32 and other chip clones to keep people honest. Kinda like arduinos.

We have both meshtastic and meshcore all getting more and more nodes.
The only issue that im seeing is the prices basically doubled for some of the hardware (esp32 and otherwise) and are probably going to go up significantly because of tarrifs and other factors.
