Uhhhh, I’d be veeeery interested in knowing percentages for recycling of Tetra pak style packaging. Their website makes it sound like it’s super easy to recycle them but I’d think it would be almost impossible to get this glued together mess of paper, plastic and other stuff recycled (I’d love to be wrong about that, obviously). I also read somewhere that there’s like one plant in the UK that can actually recycle these but no idea if that is accurate.

10·6 days agoThis is fascinating! Do you have any numbers on how much of the plastic that is put into recycling bins is actually getting recycled? I’ve read very low numbers like 3 - 10 % but don’t know if accurate or still up to date.
Immutable is perfect for me, I love being able to just boot into tge old install if in update goes South or something.

Yeah, but in English you don’t go around and label EVERYTHING with the other two genders (only if you’re a bit weird and pretend your car is a she or something) and our they is the same as the female pronoun (sie), which makes that unusable as well.
I found it interesting that Tech Linus is such a fan of Linus Torvalds but doesn’t seem to use Linux (except for maybe for server stuff, not sure) or does he?

It totally isn’t unfortunately, the gender neutral pronoun (if that’s what it’s called?) doesn’t work for humans.

Iirc she basically translated all of Carl Barks into German, but she might have done a lot of other things Im not aware of.
There’s a legendary German translater fir Disney stuff (which I was more into as a kid):
