It’s incredible how many people think socialism = communism. U can have capitalism and socialism together, and just not let the capitalism run unchecked the way it has in the USA for the last 50 ish years which is what fucks us. Strong socialism with a sprinkle of capitalism is imo the perfect solution, but unfortunately I think most hear socialism and think their old soviet’s trying to make a comeback. A lot of people fail to realize how socialist the USA used to be and how far we have gotten away from it as money moved into politics. Crazy how the “red scare” is having a second wave now, the elites must be scared.

To tag onto the partner drugging you- had ur drinking water changed? Construction nearby or mold growing somewhere? My town water is currently potable but for a little white had too much haloacetic acid. It came under federal guidelines and was considered drinkable but fluctuates with rainfall amount, and fed guidelines are pretty generous anyways and not the best metric.

Next time we have a blue majority, they will be pro small govt and anti fed again. Always been this way pretty much on both sides of the aisle.

This. My father did 12 years as an officer and took a severance package while getting the military to pay for his PhD. Now he’s a professor. My father had a ROUGH and real poor upbringing, and military was the only way out of that hole. He only originally joined because he got my mother pregnant and needed a job that would cover medical and military has about the best healthcare you can get, not to mention the opportunity for education and such. If you live in America and want to benefit from socialist practices that are more common in other countries, you can join the military or you can move 🤷‍♂️

Poor brain worms starving to death

Strangely enough I almost think the military is our best hope of redemption. Think about it, all the “checks and balances” have failed. The last way our “government” can be redeemed is if the military throws a coup to overthrow the president and host another election. The world cannot see that we are ok with our govemrnent being the way it is without consequence. Will this happen? No. But I do think it’s one of the few ways to retain our global credibility that’s already all burnt up.

To be honest the natural temperature control would do wonders for my utility bill LOL

Personally when it gets that hot I take a ride to one of my local swimming holes, most are fed by mountain streams and are CHILLY no matter how hot it is outside! But yea not much alternative some days

So fun fact I moved to New England from Texas (Denton) and let me tell u the HOT HUMID shitty parts of August imo felt worse in new england than the 100° dry heat in Texas! Yes sometimes in Texas it got muggy too then it was hell and u parked ur ass inside but I was surprised with the humid heat in the northeast! France is seeing 105-106 f heat now, which if dry as Arizona isn’t too bad here and there but if their acompanied by any humidity too your sweat cannot cool u off and u just fucking fry!

As a blue collar white voter I absolutely did not vote for the orange pedophile, not the first time and certainly not the second time. Of my co workers at my shop, only 2 are “Republican” and only one actually supports trump (he’s almost 70 and illiterate, connect the dots). In my industry, I am very fortunate to be surrounded by such good co workers…
