Reunite? I thought there was already only one China?

Reunite? I thought there was already only one China?
Sometimes I wonder if it’s me getting old or if it’s tech being more and more about solutions in search of a problem. I feel like we had reached a “good enough” point for a while, but I can’t tell if the “good enough” judgement is just me getting old and stubborn.

bin laden warned us!!! !!! !!! !!!

There are ways, but they’re even less effective and impractical than they were when companies weren’t all merged together and government wasn’t flooded with lobbyist dollars. Now industries are dominated by 2-3 major players who collude on prices through “algorithms” and the government is openly for sale to the top bidder. Money completely rules all, guess who has more money. That’s the only thing that talks “peacefully” now.

As I already stated, peaceful solutions are easier to ignore or quash. You cannot negotiate with someone who can already get their way because they have nothing to gain. Negotiating to them means giving things up. If they refuse to negotiate, how are you going to bring them to the bargaining table?

I don’t know how you can think I’m giving a free pass to republicans when right in the part you quoted I’m saying they’re worse than democrats. I skimmed the rest of your moralizing lecture and you’ve made a hilarious strawman that doesn’t represent me at all, but I hope you enjoyed your masturbation session, “champ”.

Okay, what is happening to him is a humanitarian crisis, but they arrested him for driving without a license, not because he missed a turn signal.
Technically true, but the turn signal was an excuse to pull him over, it’s not like they knew he didn’t have a license. At the same time, is he able to get a license without legal status? He has lived in the country for 50 years, but these technicalities are what give the excuse to deport him.
It can be argued “the law is the law” but what kind of society are we trying to achieve by enforcing these technicalities (while also permitting the corruption and outright illegal acts of the president)? It’s a case that highlights the broken (intentional or otherwise) system of legal status within this country and how it’s used to exercise control over people’s lives.

Can you imagine being pulled over every time you fail to signal? A lot of times people don’t signal when they’re in a turn-only lane because it’s obvious they’re going to turn, but technically that can be used as an excuse to pull them over.

Republicans being worse is no excuse for democrats being dog shit. Republicans continue to lower the bar and the democrats follow them while leaving just enough space to be considered different, but what we end up with is a continual decline regardless.

Biden is a pile of shit and I hated voting for him.

Kinda funny how you’re talking about an echo chamber when you yourself are just repeating the mainstream media talking points about diplomacy. There is a reason why they promote peaceful solutions, it’s because they’re easier to ignore or quash.

Russia has equipment to spare?

Ruzzia is a grey, third world toilet, that will be paying reparations forever once they finish losing.
Worked great against Germany after world war 1.

Not surprising considering the country was founded by terrorists and continues to honor them to this day.

There are better ways to counter a cult of personality than a cult of divine providence.

The predictable result of a “kingdom” ruled by an overgrown baby, who got put into power because it benefits other countries who need the oil to keep flowing. All the consulting and contracting dollars made along the way are a huge plus for those other countries duping the baby king. They’ve been duped by consultants for decades on idiotic projects like crop circles which suck up huge amounts of water to produce food at a higher price than they could get it imported using the very limited water which will not be replenished. They were sold on the idea of food independence, but it’s idiotic to tap into those reserves when you can import the food for cheaper. Keep the reserve in case food imports jump up in price! Now they’ve used up much of those reserves and won’t have it available for such an emergency, but the king of the time trusted the American consultants and enjoyed fluff pieces printed in American newspapers talking about how he’s such a visionary (sound familiar?) for pursuing this.
When the oil money runs out, they’ll be back to fighting over dunes of sand. It’s a damn shame because that money could’ve done so much good, but instead it went into feeding the egos of a bunch of “princes”.

If the argument for the ban is that depiction normalizes it, then there should be a ban on violence in all media, right?

A lot of good that halliburton money will do you in hell, eh dick? Rest in piss.
Which of the only two parties that are allowed to win don’t run up the deficit?
