Any day now…
Any day now…
I agree that, on a surface level, the justification seems reasonable, but it falls flat in the face of reality. The existence of israel actually makes it less safe for Jews around the world because the horrific actions of israel are incorrectly conflated as being the will of all Jews. Additionally, it’s a terrible idea to concentrate as many Jews as possible into a single small country. That only makes them more vulnerable. With how many enemies the israelis are making through their actions, the second they don’t have the backing of the most powerful military in the world, they’re open to attack. They’re relying on always being defended no matter what they do and they use it as a license to carry out the most horrific acts, including genocide. It’s not sustainable and it should not be excused or tolerated.
“nazi germany” does not exist anymore and is a different country from “Germany” (notice the lack of nazi in the name). israel was founded by terrorists and has always been ruled by extremists who wanted to create lebensraum for their genocidal ethnostate utopia. Palestine and israel are not divided by religion. Jews, Christians, and Muslims lived together in Palestine long before the bloody concept of israel was conceived.
israel should not exist just like how nazi germany does not exist anymore.
I didn’t expect republicans to interrupt their own masturbatory moment of silence. Anyway, I would’ve been tempted to rip the loudest, nastiest fart I could muster, even at the risk of shitting my pants.
Special characters is just one case to cover. If the user says they want “an elephant-sized drink” what does that mean to your system? At least that is relevant to size. Now imagine complete nonsense input like the joke you responded to (“-1 beers” or “a lizard”). SQL injection isn’t the only risk with handling inputs. The person who ordered 18,000 waters didn’t do a SQL injection attack.
This is more complicated than just having the available menu items, the available modifications, and the limits on quantities to compare against. This is already available through the app/online ordering.
I don’t know how you can think voice input is less versatile than text input, especially when a lot of voice input systems transform voice to text before processing. At least with text you get well-defined characters with a lot less variability.
This is handwaving, which, to be fair, describes a lot of AI “solutions”. An anomaly could be as basic as a customer not wanting onions on their burger because the vast majority don’t make that modification.
Now what do you do in that situation? Force orders to never have modifications? That customization is such an important feature to the point that burger king adopted it as a slogan with “have it your way”.
Yep, the trade war that trump carried out with China in his first term led to China buying a lot fewer soybeans from the US, instead turning to Brazil (now even more with the second trade war). Since this time his trade war isn’t limited to China, many more countries are finding alternatives. It’s much harder to gain business than it is to retain it and even harder to regain business when lost.
US corporations were happy to support trump because he’d cut taxes and regulations on them, but that won’t outweigh all the business lost internationally. Instead US corporations will be relying on squeezing Americans even harder in an attempt to make up for that lost business. I suppose that’s the true meaning of “America first”.
Are we waiting on the US to approve or disapprove every political action in the world?
Too late. The US already has a ton of influence here and is currently content with supplying Ukraine with just enough to hold off Russia but nothing more. If the other western countries increase their support, the US will just scale back an equal amount.
I thought people valued hard work, why would they idolize a symbol of being lazy?
It’d cost more to buy out the politicians than to switch to the sachets that are still allowed. The sachets are cheaper to produce since they use less plastic and businesses would be happy to be “forced” to switch to a cheaper alternative along with all their competitors.
Good luck relying on informed customers when customers are too busy living their lives to keep track of a billion different reasons for why they shouldn’t buy one product over another. Also, these are given out at restaurants. Do you recommend refusing to go to a restaurant if they happen to see this dispenser being included there?
How is making sure millions of people are informed and making the “correct” decision every time a better solution than simply restricting on the supply side?
Again you miss the point. So you “said something” about Palestinians? All I can see you saying about the issue is shaming people for still talking about it even though it’s still an ongoing issue. You’re claiming that people who talk about it still just have a superiority complex and are somehow at fault for everything trump does, even though the democratic party, who has far more power than any of us, were happy to continue supporting genocide even if it meant losing votes.
Let me state that again: the democratic party, your supposed champions holding back fascism, were happy to ignore voters protesting genocide because they thought sending billions in weapons in support of genocide is more important than their votes. Now you’re telling me that these very same champions give a shit about any of your friends and family? It would be hilarious if it wasn’t so tragic. The democratic party is the “good cop” in the good cop/bad cop fascism routine. Both cops work for the same organization and have the same goal.
Telling on myself how? That I don’t find genocide acceptable? You’ve clearly taken the genocide of Palestinians as granted and perhaps even acceptable. If the democratic party is willing to support the genocide of Palestinians, even going out of their way to sending billions in weapons toward the cause, then your friends and family aren’t safe the second the democratic party finds them politically inconvenient either. First they came for…
Just when it comes to the day our flawed voting system gave me a choice between fascism or not.
That was not the choice. The solution to hitler is not hitler-lite.
You can justify it however you want, but your moral superiority comes at the expense of the lives of minorities. That’s just the facts of the 2024 election.
Stop using minorities as a shield for continuing terrible democratic policies which include GENOCIDE.
None of that will fix a system so broken where there are only two viable parties and both support genocide.
Sometimes you can’t have an ideal outcome.
Tell the democratic party this when they insist that the candidate MUST lick rich people’s asses or they’d rather give the election to the republicans. When you’ve got people making excuses for giving billions in weapons to genocide then it’s obvious that the democratic party is not actually interested in helping. If they can excuse genocide then they can excuse anything.
You can say “better than the alternative” all the way to fascism, because that is the only place that line of thinking will bring you. In fact, that is exactly what has happened after decades of rabid republicans and impotent democrats tag team fucking the American people.
