I guess we just disagree on what doxxing is. When done correctly it’s just someone’s specific address or other info being posted publicly, it doesn’t have to be associated with a call to violence it’s more likely that people just stand outside his house with signs. It’s also not targeted at a whole neighborhood. I can see why you’re concerned that MAGA types won’t be as careful with it, but they can be charged with crimes if they take it too far just like anyone else. Simply knowing where someone lives isn’t a crime.

Doxxing can be done correctly, and in this case it was. The guy literally opened the door and pepper sprayed someone, he clearly lives there. I agree it’s important to target it correctly, and I too dislike when people erroneously target the wrong people with it (Boston Bomber Reddit Moment comes to mind).

Any other tool can be poorly used as well, people shouldn’t stop concealed carrying because some other people hit innocent bystanders in the past with theirs. They should train and use force responsibly. Writing off an entire method of dealing with fascists because some morons have used it irresponsibly in the past is a reductive and silly take.

Yeah if the US had invaded Mexico maybe it would be understandable if they sought Russian help. Your whole comment ignores the fact that Russia invaded a sovereign country in 2014 and continues to kill people every day there trying to take it over. I was faster than an ambulance as I could take her to a closer hospital than the one they’d be coming from and I could leave immediately, no need for a phone conversation first. Sometimes ambulances are quicker but in some cases like mine, they wouldn’t be.

Fair enough, fortunately upvotes don’t pay my rent or I’d have to find a bridge to live under. It’s just frustrating to do deal with people who can’t imagine that others might have different needs than their own and insist everyone fits into their quick and easily defined box.

In my case the hospital on the local military base (which I have access to) was likely to be faster to access than the paramedics, it was one of those cases like you mentioned where sometimes we can be faster than an ambulance. I did not have traffic to contend with due to the time of day there were only a handful of other people on the roads. Glad you were able to help your spouse too, they’re lucky to have you!

Good on you for being receptive to their conversation and actually making improvements and changes. Not everyone behaves that way, some people like my friend just become dependent on the help instead. It’s important to recognize that external help isn’t always the solution; that shouldn’t stop us from trying to help initially but it’s important to withdraw it if it’s causing dependency.

The “why not” is that some people actually are harmed not helped by being handed stuff. I tried to help one of my friends who lived with me rent free for a year and by the end he was completely unmotivated to actually get or keep a job, contribute around the house, or even behave pleasantly towards anyone in the house. It happened gradually over time til living with him became intolerable.

I think the term you might identify with more is “gender nonconforming” meaning you enjoy things that are not traditionally associated with your gender, but you’re happy with your gender and body the way they are. If you felt dysphoric/uncomfortable with your body that would be more trans. Hope that helps, whatever you choose to label it doesn’t matter too much just be what makes you most comfortable!

The Russian SVR hacked both the DNC and RNC. Russia chose to release only the DNC files, to damage Hillary and support Trump. This is established fact per detailed indictments based on a mountain of technical evidence.

So just because what they released was authentic documents does NOT mean they’re some sort of impartial source as they claim here. Julian Assange is and was a Russian asset, he contributed greatly to the damage of American democracy brought on by Trump, and I hope he rots in prison right next to Trump himself and every other traitor and foreign intelligence asset who supports him.

Damaging an aircraft is a serious felony, and you don’t own the airspace above your house so you legally can’t interfere with them. You think the people at Amazon haven’t thought about this? That thing will be covered in cameras and microphones, you won’t be able to touch it without being charged.

It’s kinda like the question of “how big does the body of water have to be before you’re comfortable swimming with a corpse?” Like we all know that’s how it works, but making a direct correlation makes it much more uncomfortable.
