I had to look this up. The inventor never trademarked the name and it was used by a competitor almost immediately. He lost a lawsuit over linoleum becoming a generic term 14 years after it’s invention. There were other brand names but linoleum became a generic term almost as soon as the product was widespread.
Out of everything they could have chosen, I could not have expected that. It’s a poor choice but I still laughed heartily.
Well, they can, it just comes with the embarrassing risk of Norway rejecting that claim. You’d hope they’d not take that route.

Depending on your ideology, nobody can stop them. And more to the point, is that not what Scotland has been threatening to do for some time now?
I’m certainly no expert but I understand submarines have an inner and outer hull. The inner hull has to withstand the pressure of the deep but the outer hull does not. The inner hull would be crushed into bits but the outer hull and any equipment in-between would likely be ripped into large chunks as such a violent event occurs inside of it.
A private military of 25,000 was permitted to occupy the southern military district headquarters, down military helicopters, and march through the streets most of the way to the capitol.
They did so with zero apparent or meaningful resistance.
It’s not about nebulous power moves that raise or lower Putin’s perceived strength. It’s about the very real and very poor state of Russia’s available internal security forces.
