Just to add to this, you can do poor mans multi color by just telling the printer to pause at the exact later required, then change the filament by hand, and hit resume. It’s tedious, but it works, if you need it in a pinch 🤷♂️
That’s fair. Personally I feel better when I’m having a bad time with something, and others agree that it sucks 🤷♂️
Yeah some companies have a really good online presence. Lemmy isn’t exactly the paragon of “online” for the average person or company though. Have you tried their official forums? Lots of knowledgeable people over there, and the company workers hang out there too, occasionally.
The only problem I had was on day one, the Wi-Fi cables weren’t routed properly around the hinge. I mean they were close, just a little out of place, enough to make the bezel not sit right. And it wasn’t obvious how to they were supposed to go, me having never seen it before. But a little fiddling and I was up and running in minutes 🤷♂️ so I can’t complain.
Not giving a blow by blow is your choice. And I’m sorry you’re having trouble, honestly.
I’m just trying to explain why this community doesn’t seem to be rallying behind you. It’s hard without details.
People aren’t very trusting these days, and for good reason, unfortunately
Have an actual link to the issues the guy is having? Details?
This feels… Fear mongery… without details.
Crap happens to every product, and support should take care of you in most cases.
It’s sad to hear, if true. I love my framework.
My search shows it’s at least as old as 2017
And a reverse image search shows the picture of at least as old as 2017
Edit: still not enough ram. 4gb, maybe, at a minimum, for this type of thing. Even Linux has it’s limits if you’re trying to get anything done in reasonable time on the modern web
Oh you’re right! I thought this was new. But, at least as old as 2017, at least from my search.
But yes, way too tech lingo.
I’ve thought about doing this. In fact, if I ever own or build a house, I’ll be adding 240v plugs for exactly this reason. Something like a nema 6-15 or 6-20, with a GFCI breaker in the box to make it (presumably) legal.
Same here, happened when I was young. Thankfully I wasn’t holding it in my hand, it was on the counter. I didn’t get burned
Jokes aside, you can microwave small smooth metal vessels. Like mixing bowls and such.
Do so at your own risk, if it doesn’t specify that it’s microwave safe.
But you can buy ones that specifically say they are microwave safe. It just means they’re extra smooth, nowhere for charges to accumulate or concentrate. Might have something to do with it’s size too, not being resonant at 2.4ghz, but don’t quote me on that part.
Useful if you don’t want to take leftovers out of the plastic container first, and if you’ve had glass explode on you before.
Is this different from [email protected]?
That community is quite active already, and helped me get up and running and interested in local LLMs.
My wife has one, I don’t like to use it, it’s too aggressive for me.
I can reach my back with my arms. To get the spot right between my shoulders I have to reach up and come down from the top with one arm, while using my other hand to grab my elbow and pull it to push my hand low enough to get it more effectively.
That’s good to know, thanks! I’m still just learning to touch type. I spent a few decades typing fast enough but always looking at the keys. This year I’ve started learning touch typing, I’m only a half dozen hours in, so still pretty new.
But when I get good I’ll take this into consideration! Thanks!
Interesting 🤔 why? Just curious
Oh now this is different than I’ve heard, some others have had issues switching back and forth. So maybe I will give it a try, once I’ve got qwerty up to a decent speed and I feel comfortable with it.
Right now it’s a problem because if I’m in a hurry, I’m tempted to type the old way, or a broken mixture of the two that messes with what I’ve learned. Not good. Gotta slow down and do it right, bah…
Thanks for the recommendations, I’m gonna put a 3d printed split board on my list of things I’ll definitely get to some day and totally won’t get pushed off the back of the furthest back burner lol
Dell was my first thought as well
