When my kid was going for her prosthetics the prosthetist said most finger prosthetics are for aesthetic purposes. Depending on your specific needs there might be options for you, and DIYers have made some impressive prototypes, but they all have their pros and cons. I think the Hero Hand is a pretty impressive option, but it is really expensive and some folks might have trouble getting insurance to cover it. Plus for kids the more expensive and complicated prosthetics aren’t great options as they tend to break them and lose parts. I was told that most folks with a partial hand, due to birth defect or amputation, choose to just work around it rather than wear a prosthetic.

I bought a refrigerator from Best Buy about 7 years ago and when it arrived it came with cockroaches. For days after the fridge was delivered I’d find dead roaches on the floor or see them scamper away when I turned on the light. So I bought a big bag of boric acid powder and lightly sprinkled that stuff around the kitchen floor leaving a nice thin dusty coat on the tile. After three days I vacuumed up the powder and I never saw another roach again.

You ain’t kidding. Looking forward to that final break.

I agree they are selfish but I’d be cautious assuming they are stupid. That is how we got where we are today. We assumed their stupidity and incompetence would be their undoing but the past 9 years have shown us that assumption was wrong.

It’s not that they are stupid they just don’t care about being a hypocrite.

Reversing the last century of emissions is interesting because we would likely have to carefully monitor and adjust how much we pull in as we go along because any dramatic changes could have serious climate consequences.

I have the same thing except it’s my dad. I’ve been able to become lucid on occasion when it happens and it’s like I get to hang out with my dad again. I have yet to tell him he is dead in the real world when it does occur. I’m afraid of what will happen if I do.

What is the criteria one has to meet for consumption to be considered unhealthy? For me it depends on the day. Sometimes I can get by with a few hits and other days I feel like I can’t function without a constant blaze across my face.

I keep telling all my liberal friends this. It’s a waste of time and energy to call out the Right’s hypocrisy and hang on to it like it’s some sort of trump card (no pun intended). Yep, my family regards him as a diety, chosen by God to lead America. He can do no wrong as he is God’s vessel on Earth and acts only with divine will. So even if he makes what appears to be a mistake, it’s actually all part of God’s plan. Like God he is infallible.

Trans people are just humans, like you and me. No better or worse. They have always existed, even if society made it so they had to stayed quiet about it. They pose no threat to you or the “American way”. They simply want the same rights every human has and they want to be left alone to go about their day, just like a vast majority of Americans.

It’s people like you that turn mole hills into mountains over this stupid shit like a trans person using a fucking bathroom. Fuck gender bathrooms anyway. Make it a requirement for all bathroom stall doors go to the floor and none of this is an issue anymore.
