Abortion used to just be a Catholic thing, but after the Civil Rights Act was passed political opportunists sought a new issue to drive southern evangelicals and abortion was it (and later gay people, but abortion was first).
Now however, the con has been bought by those in power and joined with the more toxic forms of longtermism which posits that humans must reproduce at all costs. And here we are today.

A couple of my ferals are friendly like this and I get them flea prevention when they climb in my lap.
I imagine they still have fissile material in them, since that is hard to move without intelligence agencies catching wind. Other parts, rocket fuel, etc. very well may have been stolen.
But we should treat them as though they still have nukes, even if we think our defenses could overcome them.

I am in the process of doing exactly that, as I migrate data and applications into my Linux build I will repartition that space to ext4.
I am at around 3 weeks of using Mint as my daily driver, here are the issues I have had:
My Realtek sound card would not output 5.1 over S/PDIF. I worked on this quite a bit before finding a thread of someone with the same model having the same issue where even the guru over on the Mint forums couldn’t make it work. Solution was to just use the analog 5.1 out instead.
NVIDIA drivers are not amazing, especially running multiple displays with different resolutions. I get poor performance on my secondary monitors when running even moderate GPU tasks on my main display. In Windows I could watch a stream while playing a game in a borderless window, but in Mint I will get choppy framerate on the secondary displays. Further game performance is mostly good but I get occasional choppy performance in Proton games, even running via Lutris. None of this is a deal breaker, just mildly annoying.
This is less of an issue with Linux and more of me being a doofus, but I went to add my ntfs drives to fstab so they mount when I start up. I have done linux server admin professionally for 20 years, surely I can manage fstab - nope! A careless typo caused a startup failure. Fortunately it was easy to boot into maintenance mode and fix the issue.

It would be a catastrophe for sure, but there are some reasons to be hopeful:
Researchers have been studying this bug for awhile and human vaccines could be ramped up more quickly than with COVID.
Further, there are specific mutations that would be key for rapid human-human spread and the variant infecting these cattle don’t have those mutations (yet).
Cattle are not as good a transition species to humans as, for example, pigs. So while we should be watching this, it’s not quite as alarming as it could be.

One might suspect such an “accidental” attack might discourage foreign aid workers from providing relief.
As with most of my tasks, it’s getting started that is the hardest part.
Well, I am definitely in this comment. If I didn’t live in a dystopian hellscape I’d probably try and find a doctor.
Houston is so big because the city has absorbed all the communities around it. It’s incredibly sprawled so the density is much lower than cities of comparable population. This creates all sorts of other issues, like the problem of paving over hundreds of square miles of wetland.
While it’s good to be skeptical, algae tanks like this are actually a good idea for the use-cases for which they are designed. Places where trees would be difficult and expensive to grow. The tanks more efficiently capture carbon, require less maintenance, produce fertilizer as a byproduct and the solar panels on the tank produce enough extra power for there to be a USB charger on the bench. The goal isn’t to replace trees with tanks but to use them where it makes sense to do so.
I like them for their authenticity.
I found this out the hard and still have no regrets.
Vaccines are unprofitable for pharmaceutical companies. If he defunds the research and production of vaccines they will vanish even if they are not banned. There are just so many ways this idiot can and will kill us all.
