Keep a hobby a hobby, yes! Don’t try and monetize it! You will kill all the joy you once felt for that hobby.
You don’t usually need to lower the fever. We do it for comfort, mostly. Being feverish feels bad. One of my kids can tolerate a fever so I don’t usually give her fever reducing medication. The other one gets so miserable that she won’t stop screaming, so I give her the medication.
I loved both as a kid but Digimon was a much better story. Pokemon was super cheesy and felt like it was just made to sell video games and trading cards.
If I have to cook, ground beef burritos. I could make that in my sleep. Get some rice going in the rice cooker. Saute diced onions, add minced garlic when those are translucent and smell good, add the beef when the garlic smells good, add spices once the beef is mostly browned. I add lemon juice at the end to deglaze. Toss on a tortilla with some sour cream, a huge handful of chopped cilantro (no soapy taste here, just lemony freshness), the rice, and lots of home-canned salsa.
But really, if I want something quick, I’m not cooking. I love eating some crusty bread with hummus. I buy big bags ciabatta buns and keep them in the freezer. Just a few minutes in my air fryer and they come out basically freshly baked.
I pretty much always assume that any internet ad is a scam. I may have been traumatised by some pop ups in the early internet days.
Happened to me once as the woman. Poor guy was so embarrassed and apologetic.
Seriously that’s always been my question for these people. “Oh no, only women are allowed to enter and I’m not a woman! Oh well, guess I’ll go rape someone somewhere else!” Dude was already planning on committing a crime, guys. Come on.
My grandparents basically raised their grandchildren, so I’d say I am/was close with mine, except the one asshole. My one grandmother is basically like a second mom for me. I lived with her from when I was 13 until I was 30 (with maybe five years apart in between) and she is a pretty involved great-grandmother to all her great-grandchildren, too.
Personally, I hate having power over others or being in a position of authority. I even feel weird telling my own children what to do.
I’m just plugged in with an hdmi.
As we used to say when I was a little kid: “Zero the hero, first the worst.”
It’s popular in Canada, too, but we are basically the US.
I think the difference between jam and jelly is how much pectin is in it, or one has chunks of fruit and the other doesn’t? I don’t really know. I don’t like either of them.
Me neither. I just can’t get over it being a giant bug.
I downvote by accident all the time, and I’m sure other people do, too. I undo it when I notice, but how often do I (or anyone else) just not notice?
People really need more hobbies. I love spending time with my husband but I can’t imagine not being able to entertain myself. I could happily go weeks without talking to another person, just doing my million different hobbies.
The car drop off lines they have in America look like pure torture. I don’t understand. Does America not have school buses anymore?
Edit: I’m also Canadian and we have school buses where I am. I don’t think we have the same car lines I’ve heard about in the U.S.
Doesn’t it basically turn you into a zombie temprorarily or something like that?
No
Personally, I don’t memorise facts about people I don’t like. I learn them and forget them but don’t forget that I don’t like that person.
