This is a very weird framing of what I understand was a refusal to join a meeting in Jan 2018, which was organised by SNP and had no government presence. He never went in the room at all, so the “flounced out in a huff” appears to be complete fiction.

I personally don’t think that one meeting, containing small parties that were not in power, had any meaningful effect on the proposed deal with the EU, which was still being discussed up until 2020.

Personally, as a reader of this post that hasn’t tried to help, I’m offended that you don’t believe in me.

Made the mistake of looking at the comments before realising it was a Telegraph article.

He says he has no interest in politics, but his mother is a Forza Italia MEP who started her career in a far-right “post-fascist” party.

Her father seemed to also be aligned with his father (Benito), so I would be surprised if the fascism has filtered all the way down.
