I’m surprised one of these companies hasn’t bid against the AI bubble yet. Like have they considered going against the grain when there’s obvious push back could actually increase profits?
Could you imagine a world where Microsoft went back to a windows 7 Era where shit just worked how it was supposed to and was super solid? I feel like people would appreciate and buy into a product that just works.
Maybe I’m completely off base here but in my mind having a product that… y’know…actually works and does what it says it does is valuable.
That is unless there’s just so much money being thrown at them to force AI into their products that they seemingly cannot refuse, which could very well be the case. But it just feels weird

Interesting! Thanks for the information.

Is there a reason these outages seem to have increased recently?

Odd move. You already can’t trust ai results. mixing in ads is going to make it even worse. It’s going to try to manipulate people

The one thing I’ll say is the Germans seem to have done far better than the Americans at stopping nazis. Shit they’ve done better than Canada, too. Northern America kinda shrugged and went, “It’s fine probably”

And the money trickles up to those highest on the pyramid. Classic

I didn’t know this, thanks for sharing!

If we can push towards green electricity generation, I would be up for an electric car. Where I live our electricity isn’t green so it feels kind of…counter intuitive in a sense.
My main gripe with any new vehicle is touch screens. If there’s a touch screen in the thing ima flip a table. Give me physical buttons please. Oh I guess my secondary gripe is trying to make cars compact in ways that make it impossible difficult to work on yourself.
I want smaller cars, but I also want something that people can work on easily.

Why would that hurt the economy? If you want people to spend money, make things affordable and useful. They make things shittier and more expensive and then wonder why people aren’t buying

I’m going to be a pest and argue semantics.
For point number 2. Musk has never been an American, and i would argue that he has no true country as he only cares about himself. From what I understand, he created his business illegally after losing his visa status in the US for some time.

I just want access to my whole Xbox library on my PC. There’s a small amount of overlap, but not much.

Ukraine would be crazy to sign this

Explains why windows has been such garbage. Remember when windows 10 was advertised as the last windows? Lol

I feel like we’re probably screwed either way at this point. Everything seems to just be getting more expensive with no end in sight. Maybe it’s me being bitter, but I would at least like to see the billionaires money burn a little lol. Unfortunately, no matter what happens they’ll be ok, and everyone else suffers regardless, so idk.

Oh man I wish. Let’s get it over with already lol

Amazon just laid off 14,000 workers, and they’re claiming they can do their jobs with AI.
They’re already making AI commercials for TV and AI images for advertising, and there was a post here about AI music that hit the top 100 played on Spotify or something. Now, how cost-effective and efficient these all are? I have no idea.
I think there’s both overhype and reality. I think it’s a bit of both. Companies want people to believe AI is the way forward. But I also think part of this is smoke and mirrors. I actually don’t know how much of it is truth and until we start hearing more first-hand accounts, I feel like it’s very up in the air.

The one thing I’ve personally found, is that buying devices with less points of failure has been helpful when possible.

Yup exactly. They stop crimes of opportunity
This is what happened with Amazon and all those “AI grocery stores”. Easier for them to just use people to watch you from across the world. So dumb lol
