Yup exactly. They stop crimes of opportunity

I love this guy. His videos have shown me to never trust locks

My personal guess was to get people “used” to AI video. If you slap a smear over everything, it makes it look similar
Alternatively, it could have been an attempt to clean up video to make it look better. However, the implementation and where I’ve seen it seems to make little sense. It generally makes everything look worse, so I have no clue.

I feel like the internet should probably be hosted in as many different servers and physical locations as possible. It seems alarming that these things happen as often as they do

Lol that could be the newest horror movie for Halloween. “Education on Elm Street”.

I think that’s the scariest part. The idea that people will stop learning.

I find it reassuring that Wikipedia is doing it’s best to try and maintain truth and accountability. I agree they should be hosted in a different place.
Side thought/my own ramblings here: Has there ever been hosting where the information is scattered across the world rather than one localized spot? That seems like it might be helpful, but I honestly don’t know enough about site hosting

Ugh I don’t want you to be correct, but this fits. This is exactly something Trump would do.

If they were to carpet bomb the whole place, completely wipe the rest of it out. I think it would be impossible for people to deny the genocide. Well, anyone with a conscious and some glimmer of morality.
For the deniers, the sky is blue and they would still scream it’s red.

This kind of tech is going to mislead people into wars. It’s going to ruin digital information

This issue hasn’t affected me yet. But I worry that it could affect us if these payment processors keep escalating. Like sure, right now, it’s NSFW. But then it’ll be anything they want. LGBT+ content? Too much violence? Critical of religion? They’ll just keep going

Can someone clue me in here? I think i missed some info.
Was Brian Driscoll helping Trump, too, or did he resist too much, and so they put this Patel guy in charge?
Edit: oop never mind. Found it. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/fired-fbi-officials-sue-patel-claiming-he-bowed-to-trumps-campaign-of-retribution

Blows my mind that this the UK is doing this. I hope it gets reverted at some point.

They’re trying to turn it into truth social. I want to say people won’t fall for it, but I’m sure some will

Is this a brexit all over again? They don’t seem to learn

My old PC seemed to only be able to handle shotcut it didn’t have everything i wanted, but it had all the basic stuff you could need.
I think if you were going to really be getting into the weeds of video editing, you might want something better. I personally wasn’t able to find ways to speed up certain editing functionality, which took up some extra time. Certain features are still being developed and worked on.
But at the time, I just needed a lightweight editor that my PC could handle, and it did the job well.
I followed this tutorial, and it helped me learn the ropes.
I’ve decided that I want to learn DaVinci at some point, but I’ve been frankly lazy in recent months and haven’t been editing as much as I would like/should lol

We use snagit at work and it has been ok? I think it’s a paid application though

Haha glad I could help. ProZD was truly ahead of his time with Vine.
Amazon just laid off 14,000 workers, and they’re claiming they can do their jobs with AI.
They’re already making AI commercials for TV and AI images for advertising, and there was a post here about AI music that hit the top 100 played on Spotify or something. Now, how cost-effective and efficient these all are? I have no idea.
I think there’s both overhype and reality. I think it’s a bit of both. Companies want people to believe AI is the way forward. But I also think part of this is smoke and mirrors. I actually don’t know how much of it is truth and until we start hearing more first-hand accounts, I feel like it’s very up in the air.
