Until a war, famine or plague was terrible enough to make people realize that most of their social differences weren’t as important as they thought and they had to rally round an ideal to survive.

Maybe a meet in the middle solution (even if it’s a misguided emotionally driven recapturing of control movement) is something like:
« we’ll agree to remove fluoride from the water but in support/exchange we will ban the sale of bottled water in the same areas(or place a prohibitively high tax on their purchase). »
Since the sources of bottled water are often dubious and unregulated, it’s the best way to reduce the chance that fluoridated water finds its way into the community by bottle and reduces waste at the same time 🤷♀️
Use potential tax savings to subsidize fluoride treatment to families that are interested?
Anyone got her number? Asking for a friend…

More specifically:
« Further analysis revealed that while exposure to these pollutants increased the risk of Alzheimer’s disease, the effect seemed stronger for vascular dementia, a type of dementia caused by reduced blood flow to the brain. Around 180,000 people in the UK are thought to be affected by this type of dementia. However, as there were only a small number of studies that examined this difference, the researchers did not class it as statistically significant.«
Canadians take our hedonism with a bit less BS. We’ll call when you’re sober.

Seems like it’s either deliberately negligent or sinister:
« The switches are equipped with safeguards, including a locking mechanism, to prevent accidental movement.
They are most often used to turn engines off once a plane has arrived at its airport gate and in certain emergency situations, such as an engine fire. The report does not indicate there was any emergency requiring an engine cutoff.
A US aviation safety expert, John Cox, told Reuters a pilot would not be able to accidentally move the fuel switches that feed the engines. “You can’t bump them and they move, »
« The switches flipped a second apart, the report said, roughly the time it would take to shift one and then the other, according to US aviation expert John Nance. He added that a pilot would normally never turn the switches off in flight, especially as the plane is starting to climb. »

Nah, that’s the best part! Vive la difference!

No less than 2000 gold pieces?! Highway robbery!

« In his first speech of 2025, King Frederik said: …We belong together. »

Sigh for when Tula only used to be known for samovars…

Yeah, definitely question the motive of the PM source too. Sounds less like a “bribe” and more like politics.

Following the article where there’s normally a brief bio on the author says a lot about the credibility of the source:

Fried or fertilized?
This cat knocked George right off the podium
I hate wringing my hands over people being stupid. We need to acknowledge we’re not doing enough to reconcile « thinkers », « feelers » and the majority that fall in between.
