Thanks! How’s this look? I added one to the barn and one to the house, pointed in different directions.
I write science fiction, draw, paint, photobash, do woodworking, and dabble in 2d videogames design. Big fan of reducing waste, and of building community

Thanks! I’d appreciate it! And I’ll read up on them anyways because I find military history and the way kit gets adapted and upgraded very interesting
Thank you so much! I can definitely add the cantenna dish - should it be pointed in any particular direction?
It is! On a previous project I read up a bunch on agricultural UAVs and how some farms even send out multiple passes with different types of drones before going out in person to inspect an issue, and I fell in love with the idea of a farmer adding a sort of drone hangar to their barn. It’s probably not a realistic amount of UAVs but I love the visual of drones just pouring out like bats.
Thanks! I really love working in this style, it’s a sort of photobash/collage and it’s an absolute blast. I really enjoy doing rural cyberpunk scenes - I actually did a very short webcomic in the same style and similar setting. The single panel ones might hit the same vibe for you.
Thanks so much! That sounds great (and pretty cyberpunk) so I’d love to add them but ‘ASIP military antenna 1960s’ isn’t finding me much at first glance - could you link an image so I can reference it while looking for examples?
That’s good to know! I can definitely add some electrical clutter!
Thanks, I’d missed that one somehow - just signed up! https://pixelfed.social/i/web/post/607237425340447357
I’ve tried posting the image as a response to this comment (I’m guessing you don’t want to turn off noscript or whichever adblocker you’re running) but it won’t upload, possibly because this thread is on lemmy.ml? The good news is I’ve also uploaded it to a few other places:
Hopefully one of those will work. If you know of a more fediverse-friendly image hosting solution I should be using, let me know!
I’ll look them up now! Thanks for the tip
Thanks! I think there’s a wonderful opportunity in this kind of art to demonstrate alternatives! I’m planning one involving a city street next, and I’m happy to try to incorporate any ideas into what I’m planning. Hopefully it’ll include a parking garage that’s been filled in (kind of ad-hoc and colorfully) with living space, and a street that’s been replaced with a bike path and forest, with market stalls in the spaces between the trees. I’ll try to hint at a farm or park on the roof of the garage if possible.
Lore might be a good candidate - one narrator relaying stories from history that are dark or spooky in one way or another. It’s quite fun and well-produced.

Be warned that he approaches history from a folklore standpoint and will sort of tell you the spooky story version of what happened and how it impacts modern day pop culture - so if you compare one of his (fairly short) episodes on a well-docunented famous murder or something to a deep-dive series or book on the subject it will be missing information.
