Consider starting with organizational aids. 3d printing is great for things that hold other things. Start with simple modifications like resizing models to fit your needs and branch out to more complex customizations and cad building from there.

Assume you tried unraveling to deeper layers? If it’s brittle beyond the surface layer in the spool I think it’s toast. Would be interested to hear the trick if I’m wrong.

If PETg (which is where I’ve most commonly had warping), make sure Filament is very well dried. Try both raising or lowering bed temps and bigger brim.

Also, for funsies, try rotating print orientation 45 degrees if you can. Might shift stress away from corners to sides.

Don’t have octoprint and not sure I’d be ready for it to abort my prints for me just yet. I use a security camera. Would be nice if it could just screengrab the feed from my desktop and send an email or sms alert if something looked off.

Yes. Visually it’s ok. Just don’t talk to the inhabitants or try to get educated in one of their schools and if you need to go to a hospital I recommend having one of those helicopter insurance plans that people get when they visit the Congo.

As Obnoxious as these notations sound, I’d rather have all the usbc subtype broken out and labeled differently. At least then id have a clue if this usb cable I found is going to actually work with any given device. It’s totally trial and error now. We finally got a respectable physical inferface and widespread adoption, but under the hood it’s as messy as ever with different protocols.

I don’t have / can’t afford one, but the prusa XL is one of the more beloved printers in existence. I don’t think many would agree it’s a disaster. Bambu is absolutely ripe for enshitification. It’s commercial fodder to the max, we all know where this story ends. They are the HP of the 3d printer world. My only hope is that they help push prusa to an increasingly open source model, but that’s probably wishful thinking.
