Eeeeeeeh a lot of those “pet ideals” are often quite the opposite of selfish. So I don’t think it’s quite the right term.

Letting perfect be the enemy of achievable isn’t about selfishness. Arrogance or ignorance sure. But not really selfishness in this case. They mean well, just not bright enough to do well.

If they assume that and pre-capitulate it may as well be. These are the right motions to be making whether or not any of these are even the right people. Whether or not there will be free and fair elections again. The only way there will be is if we fight.

If someone verbally and physically threatens poll workers. Putting people into offices they have no qualification for. Who’s only goal is to deny a Democrats victory, and there are unusual or suspicious circumstances. If we do not look into it. We don’t deserve a democracy. And yes if he wins by less. He wins by less. But at least we know. This isn’t a baseless wild goose chase like the fascists wanted. If the Democrats were the ones making the threats and taking these actions and a similar discrepancy or unusual anomaly popped up. I would still say we need to look into it. If this isn’t something worth looking into. Something worth understanding. Then what is?

It is not criminally negligent to ignore claims that have no basis in reality.

Here’s your reality basis. With them every accusation is a confession. They’ve been putting partisan election deniers in positions of control in many state and country elections office. Just for this sort of thing.

I never said we didn’t. But as I posted the theories are strongly based in reality. General polling shows ignorant young and minority men swung hard for trump. White people in general held to tradition, carrying water for fascism as well. He likely did win. These sort of outliers should be checked however. And no, as long as we rely on states to set procedure and police themselves. No I don’t trust them implicitly. These are the groups that implemented poll taxes and practiced heavy handed disenfranchisement. Chances are this is nothing. But it is worth being sure.

They’ve been replacing election officials with partisan hacks for several years now. Especially in arizona. They are really pissed at the more populated areas that tend to go democrat.

Does it mean the election was stolen. No. Would it be criminally negligent not to investigate this after Republicans told us they were going to do this and put people in place to do this. Yes.

I don’t know. When Republicans tell you they are going to rig the system for years. When Republicans take action to rig the system for years. It seems like it’s pretty plausible. Now whether or not it would ultimately change the outcome. That’s a good question and no one should get their hopes up. But Democrats absolutely should be investigating this.

The whole point of this was asking why Democrats are catering to wealthy conservative donors instead of progressive or left leaning voters. I just stated the reason why. The 1 billion dollars collected from small donors every four years for a presidential run is nice. But it’s nothing compared to what the wealthy dump into messaging and campaigning constantly. Until such time as small donors can even come close to remotely matching that. Sustaining entire media Outlet ecosystems to counter the propaganda from conservatives. Democrats aren’t going to give up trying to get some of that wealthy conservative money

That’s a mere pittance compared to what the wealthy actually spend on conservatives and messaging. That’s 1 billion dollars every 4 years. Fox news, daily wire, OANN, and all the myriad of other propaganda outlets churn through more than that a year.

They do, but as a Missourian. I can 100% say they have no clue about how to do it. Legalizing abortion again, but electing the man that will get it nationally banned. It may be largely willful ignorance and apathy. But that doesn’t mean it can’t also be sexism and misogynistic attitudes too. They can support their personal right to choose but not give a damn about anyone else. After all there were Nazi jews. I have little doubt there are misogynistic women. For some of them it’s about there personal rights. Cognitive dissonance makes it for some really f***** up situations.

This is Ozma. They’re known for heavy bias and axe grinding. It attacks Democrats and that’s what was important to them. Not factualness or logic.

People trying like crazy to push all the blame on Democrats and Harris. Because after all. If they only did this one magic thing they would never lose. Right? It’s freaking magic. How could they lose.

Don’t get me wrong. Democrats absolutely deserve some blame. But I’m sure all the people that spent the whole general shouting that “they’re both the same”, “blue maga”, “genocide Joe/Harris” surely couldn’t have disenfranchised and demotivated people to stay home. They all got played and are trying to absolve themselves.

Yep, I’m sure at least a few were demotivated by claims of “they’re the same!” Or the hyperbolic brow beating of those chanting “genocide Joe/Harris” or "blue maga ". What we needed is solidarity. But the left is only good at dividing itself.

Most Nazis were just following orders. Many Hitler supporters and citizens of Nazi Germany though they were making things better. While being completely uninformed and having no idea of what was going on.

Worst of all. Trump’s white nationalist white supremacist and Nazi supporters weren’t a deal breaker. The truth is the Nazis and the people of Nazi Germany were not monsters. They were people. There are no monsters. Only people. Exactly like Trump supporters. So the comparison is valid and apt whether or not you are comfortable with it.

Evil is just banal. The cruelty that one does to cover up their own incompetence. When their ignorance is just as valid as your knowledge. Call them for what they are.

They desperately want an authoritarian capitalist like Milieu in Argentina to have dome measure of success. And will gladly cheer on a fascist like Trump if he will make them a few dollars more. If you go through the proper channels? Absolutely. If you have babysitters watching him and putting restrictions on what he can do like his last term? Absolutely. When his administration’s babysitters called him out and left the field. Telling people not to elect him again. And now he’s just surrounding himself with Craven yes men. And is going to go outside of normal procedure. To put more Yes Men in place. You can’t count on the lumbering giant anymore.

Only if you count the likes of Manchin or Sinema. Which would be foolish.

Missouri voted to legalize abortion again. Then elected the man who will get it banned nationally. Previously we voted to reduce dark money etc in local elections. And in the very next election repealed those restrictions again. People are fucking ignorant. Those in the state of misery doubly so.
