As an Australian, I find it really sad that the USA, the country that pretty much saved the world from totalitarianism during WW2, is pretty much the LEAST democratic western country right now.

Gerrymandering is like a 19th century anachronism, but the US is leaning right into it.

We don’t have free speech in our constitution, but we have protection of free speech in common law, unless it’s explicitly banned by legislation, like some hate speech is.
