Usually about 25 of the 30 questions in the voting adviser. I don’t care if some party wants to take budget from primary schools and stick it in kindergartens instead or if we fund the F35 or whatever. I’m not a military plane expert nor work in educational finance but these are literally the questions they select to use as basis for your vote. Dudes, ask an expert! They’ll probably tell you “don’t know, but we can do a scale study to see which way works better”

Whatever topic I know has a reasonable expectation of making more people sustainably happy is what I click, and then usually it tells me I haven’t clicked enough answers for it to produce voting advice…

Most ‘current hot topics’ are either unknowable with current information, or just wholly irrelevant to bigger problems like when we’re going to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions and stop discriminating people

Sales and discounts and haggling. People go nuts whenever something is cheap or queue up for free give aways and such.

I only buy stuff when I need it and I will gladly pay full price for something. Things get too cheap you know. I don’t take free stuff, because it’s just more garbage or takes up space.

This is not a strong opinion. Of course I like to pay less or get free stuff, but only if I need those things. That’s what frugal means to me. I get that some people think of it in a different way of optimizing or gathering garbage for craiglist or whatever. It’s just not for me.

Literally any topic on which I have little to no knowledge. I can’t have an opinion on a topic I barely know exists.

Which way to install a roll of TP. My natural preference is other than that of my family, so I shrug and do it their way. No big deal.

People putting pineapple on their pizza.

Whatever man. Some people like opera music. Some people like golden showers. And some people like putting pineapple on their pizza. Can’t we all just get along?

Other people’s lives. I don’t get why how other people live bother people. If they like the same sex, go for it. If they like to dress up as a goat on the weekend? Ok, cool. It’s your life, do what you want with it.

I mean, yes, but I’d add the qualifier “so long as it doesn’t impact others”. If you want to dump your trash in a communal area, it’s imo a bit too easy to say that it’s a free country and who am I to tell you not to do that. Maybe this sounds too obvious to spell out (to me it would have until recently) but I recently met two persons in unrelated places who really felt that nobody should tell them what to do because they didn’t tell anyone else what to do either. As if we don’t all share resources on this planet

People’s taste in food. Like pinapple on 0zza? Cool, like ketchup on porkchops? Ok. Don’t like spicey foods? All good.

Same for me. Once I attended a chocolate workshop with this guy who was like a chocolate expert/connoisseur, and he started by saying “The best chocolate is the one you like.”

Trans people in sports. I wish they could all have the rights everyone else has, but a 200lb person beating the shit out of someone half their weight is crazy and unfair. maybe we are too focused on sports as achievement.

I don’t see what this has to do with trans people? As if people of the same sex at birth can’t end up with wildly different weights as well? Like a 200lbs woman beating the shit out of a 100lbs woman wouldn’t be allowed in any sport. So why would it suddenly be allowed if the 200lbs woman is trans? Also, “unfair” gets me here. Sports aren’t fucking fair! That’s the entire point. It’s a physical competition where some people have an inherent advantage due to genetics. Trans people existing doesn’t change that, and doesn’t make it any less fair. This just reeks of you seeing all these “no men in womens sports” arguments and not taking the time to actually examine if those arguments are valid or not.

i genuinely dont care about gender at all. I’ll fight tooth and nail for my trans brothers and sisters but in a perfect world I’d never think about it even a little

Celebrity gossip. I find it really difficult to care about what some celebrity said about something.

wait this seems like a strong opinion that celebrity gossip isn’t interesting. wouldn’t the neutral position here be that you would like to know what’s going on with your fave celebs but don’t go out of your way?

For me personally, I don’t like it. However, I do still have a strong opinion on it. I think it’s a fantastic flavor combination! It’s a nice combination of salty, sweet, and savory. If a professional chef were making a pizza, and they had never heard of one before, something like the Hawaiian pizza is what I’d expect them to make. I don’t really like pineapple though, so it’s not for me.
