But websites dont have the ability to randomly scan your browser, they can just detect weird behavior of your browser indirectly. And locally changing website rendering (this includes cookie banner removal and cosmetic ublock filters) are not one of them

Works really well until it doesn’t unfortunately.
Yeah but it works like 99% of the time, and if it makes text illegible, you can just toggle it off. 100x better than no dark reader at all.

is this different just just choosing dark mode in firefox settings?
No trackability. Dark mode is a parameter you tell the websites and its not default.
If you mod the CSS locally the site doesnt see it

oh thats good to know. I always thought my browser must be very identifiable with my add ons.
