Had to drop off some things at the barn and helped put a big ol tractor together, so I didn’t have time to hang with Sandy. That’s okay, though. I yelled her name and she got very confused then went back to eating like 30 seconds later.

It is! The best boarding barn I’ve seen. It’s not fancy, but it has the space and the horses get to be horses here. They spend the majority of their time outside and it’s so good for them.

I’d say that she could me Shadowfax’s main mare, but Sandy has absolutely no time for male horses. She spurns all of the geldings’ advances and even kicked one persistent one right in the face. Her besties in the herd are two old mares name Princess and Jewel. Sometimes the old mare named Fancy is Sandy’s friend, but Fancy’s prone to mood swings so she isn’t consistent in who she hangs out with.

It has! I just wish it would stop storming every other day. It’s hard to plan barn time when the weather is so crazy lol

Nah there’s a bunch of wires. She’s actually in a totally different field than the one I was beside. I was beside the blind horse field. The hot wire is to deter the blind horses from getting too close to the fence.

I mean, it’s a boarding barn so the blind horses have owners. They pay to keep them there and the folks who run the farm care for the horses. I like how they have their own field here, though. You drive right past the blind field to get to the barn and I turn up myusic and drive extra slow because the horses get interested in the music. I love seeing their ears perk up
