They’ve managed to make a bunch of Christian nationalists believe that Israel’s “Greater Israel” plan that Netanyahu himself has wanted for 40 years, is part of their own Christian story. That’s why all of those reports came out about US military leadership telling soldiers that this was some sort of scripted divine war. The US is just Israel now. We funded a terrorist regime, it surpassed us, and now we’ve become a part of it.
