Why is it I feel a tiny bit of empathy for the Guthries but really don;t care at all because people get kidnapped/ransomed every day, what makes he so special besides her daughter?

Because most people have a parasocial relationship with media personalities so it kinda feels like it’s happening to people you know.

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.

If you intentionally annoy, mock, harass, or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.
