Thank you so much
how are you managing the dot files?
How you apply them? What desktop environment or window manager are you using?
it changes at least once per year and i used to do it with code versioning; but now i’ve just learned how to be happy with the basic settings that are common on most distros. i’ve used Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat & Oracle professionally and Fedora & Ubuntu personally.
i asked you this because the other time i asked this on lemmy it i learned something new about how it can be done and i’m hoping to strike gold twice.
Ah, thanks for clarifying! I self-host Gitea on a rpi and just push my dots to it.
I use Slack btw?
You’re not sure?
I’m planning to install Slackel in a few weeks’ time. Does that count?
Of course! All Slackers unite!
What is Slackware mostly used for. Been a Linux geek for ages and never got around to that one for whatever reason.
Manually resolving dependencies, piping fortune through cowsay and playing Tux Racer for the most part… /s
I run Slackware on my gaming pc too. You can use it as a daily driver like any other distro. It doesn’t have a specific use case. It is what you want it to be.
