So the kittens have been at the clinic for almost 2 weeks pumpkin passed first, then maple past three days ago and yesterday Casper passed. Bonnie was in a decline but now is stable and I’m hoping that she survives because what a sad way to start the new year losing four fosters to parvo 😭 this is utterly the worst part about foster and rescue its emotionally draining. But I just keep telling myself at least these little guys had some love before they were in the clinic. The worst part was because of the parvo diagnosis. I had to throw everything out right so I threw out the playpen they were in with the stockings that I hung for them for Christmas on it and it was just really sad, so I haven’t been posting about the cats a lot because I’m sad.

Many of them never know any kind of love the entire time they live. These kids got to have a beautiful few days with you. Look how happy they are in that playpen- safe, warm, fed, cared for. You did that for them. You gave them the greatest gift they ever had in the short time they were conscious. Please remember that.

Even if the outcome is not a single adult cat from that litter, the good you did was never wasted. They got to know love, and they had each other.

Thank you for caring for them, and may their memory be a blessing.

I couldn’t have said this any better. What you did and are doing is amazing, and these little ones had love and warmth and care from you. Who can ask for more than that?

      Thinking of you and Bonnie.

      Well said.

Whitecat, I’ve also encountered parvo with a stray and her kittens that we rescued, so I understand the heartbreak. I hope Bonnie pulls through.
