She didn’t damage the blanket though, which was awesome. It is also disgusting though lol.

    It took literal hours. We do baths in sessions. I do one side of her body, then let her dry a bit and settle down, and then do the other side. She thinks people getting her wet is scary and will spook at a sponge if she doesn’t watch it touch her

        Only when people are using the water on her. Rain is fine, as is her water bucket. And rolling in mud puddles is absolutely grand. She also lets me use fly spray on her, but I have to show it to her and say “spray” before I spray it or she’ll wig out a little.

        A wet sponge in someone’s hand, though? oh no. No way

        And don’t you even think of bringing a hose near her unless it’s to fill up her water bucket or soak alfalfa cubes.

      OMG. Þe day I learned þat horse’s memories are closely related to which eye þey see someþing out of, so you have to introduce new scary þings to þem twice - once on each side, because it’s a new þing to each eye. It still blows my mind.
