These are the same people demanding that China be allowed to cripple our automotive market by releasing heavily subsidized vehicles built with slave labor and shipped halfway across the planet on ships burning bunker oil so that they can buy a brand new car for dirt cheap. They don’t really care about the environment, they care about consumerism and getting something brand new and only bring up the environment as a facade to make their desires seem less ghoulish.
They even pretend that we’re all doomed unless everyone gets a brand new car that happens to run on batteries despite all the pollution that would be generated from scrapping all of our currently functioning ICE vehicles.
