Hello! I just received my beautiful Neo60 Core. It’s my first 60% keyboard so I hoped that the Fn-Key can compensate the “missing” keys. But I can’t really find any documentation on how to use the Fn-Key on the Neo60 Core.

I was only able to use F1-F12 with the combination of Fn-(1-ß) but I really want to use and need the ArrowKeys. I tried Fn + WASD but because Fn+W sets the Neo60 Core to Bluetooth mode this wont work. Even Fn+IJKL wont work either. Does the Neo60 Core doesn’t offer such functionality out of the box? Do I really have to use an external Software to make this possible?

    Okay, so I found this List of Functions. Apparently you can’t use Arrowkeys out of the box… I tried to configure my Neo60 with VIA but I’ve got some strange connectivity issues.

      Just in case you’re still looking…

      1. If you’re on Linux, don’t use the VIA web app, even if the build guide says to. Download the Electron app because it knows to ask for the right permissions and doesn’t apply them to everything you browse. In either event, make sure you grabbed the json to upload.
      2. That strikes me as odd that there would be no arrows enabled at all. If you still can’t get into VIA go to some keyboard tester and try literally every key with and without Fn. It shouldn’t take too long for a 60%.

        Thanks for your reply! I managed to get VIA running, and added the arrowkeys and a few other missing functions in the second layer. But I will have a look at Electron the next time I need to make some edits!

          Excellent! And just so I don’t send you off on a wild goose chase, “Electron” is not the app’s name, just the platform (a browser wrapper, basically) that VIA uses for its desktop app. It’ll be on VIA’s github page, if not their main page. Glad you got it all squared away though. That’s a truly silly default keymap for what I understand is a super nice keyboard.

            I heard of Electron before and kinda knew that it’s not just an “App”. But good to know. Thank you :) It’s weird that they decided to leave these basic functions out, but since I got it all set up, this keyboard is beautiful!
