The creator has the heart attack as he is presenting the hands to Edward. He dies and falls forward which impales the hands on Edward’s blades. Edward desperately wanted the hands he just hadn’t been prepared for such a possibility.

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.
