She wanted to run in the arena today and we got 2 steps into it and realized it was a sand pit and noped back over to the barn for alfalfa cubes time.
I also have a different kind of halter/lead combo on its way. Gonna see if it is easier to get on her in pasture.
I’ll definitely have to do a braid and get some pics before taking it out at the end of grooming time. Braids can be dangerous if left in when horses are outside in pastures like the one she is in during the day. The braids can get caught on things and can cause injury. The old barn didn’t have any actual turnout, so I gave her braids because she wasn’t in any danger with them in all the time and they kept her cooler.
I am going to get some dope Halloween pics with her late next month or early November. The bridesmaid dress I’m wearing in my friend’s wedding next month has a total “elf princess” vibe and I’m gonna do a whole photoshoot with Sandy because she also fits that vibe. I ordered a clip on unicorn horn for her to wear as her costume. She’s gonna have hella fancy mane and tail braids for that and I’ll probably get a new halter for it as well. I’ll 100000000% post pics of Sandy. Idk if I wanna put myself on Lemmy or not tho lol.
