I use jerboa a lot cos I like the layout, but have to use interstellar for my piefed one.

Why does Jerboa often tell me my account is being verified? I’ve had it ages

As far as I’ve been able to tell it happens when your instance is having stability issues. I tend to see that message at the same time posts will fail to load.
