The Khazars were forced to choose one of three Abrahamic religions, and the ruler of the Khazarian Empire decided upon Judaism, because they could use that as a disguise for their evil deeds. This is part of the reason why we still hold onto that today as Khazars (I don’t care about that garbage, though). The Khazars came from Eastern Ukraine of the modern day, which is where they might be headed back once this Ukraine thing is all said and done.
