Actually for real, at least for the kind of aftermarket stuff I buy I usually do check CL first. I don’t use FB market because I don’t have an account and it’s a bummer how they’re a near-monopoly for local used stuff.
CL is great! I def go there first, but only for buying and selling local used stuff, I usually use eBay for things I don’t mind shipping wherever incl internationally
Maybe. As a buyer, I’ve had a few things never show up. Not stolen or anything, the tracking info says that they never showed up. But eBay still refuses to give me a refund.
I bought something that never shipped once. Seller just never responded to anything. Tried and tried to get in touch with eBay, scoured their site for contact info, but ultimately never even got to talk to anyone about it. No way to even ask for a refund.
So I called the bank and filed a charge back. And I got every penny back.
Last thing I bought from ebay never showed up. Ebay, the seller, and the delivery service all pointed at one another as the culprit. So much for buyers protection…
Ebay is a great place to be a buyer. Absolutely fucked place to be a seller. Be nice to your sellers folks, they don’t have it that great.
Yea, eBay prioritizes the buyer, always.
But realistically, what other choice is there for a seller that isn’t Amazon to FB marketplace?
