Edison didn’t do any damage to Tesla’s name (he was more than capable of doing that himself), and by all contemporary accounts the two men seem to have supported each other the brief time they were together and parted ways amicably. (Also, Edison personally had nothing to do with electrocuting Topsy the elephant - see 4:09:00.)

Heaven forbid people be able to exert the tiniest modicum of self control. Spend money on that ice cream! Splurge on that trip! Don’t think, just consoom! That’ll definitely fill the void in your meaningless existence.
