    I’m not ADHD but it happens to me very often. I wanted to look up something and then I forget. what solves it for me is trying to remember how I ended up on that thought. or redoing what I was just doing before to replicate the stimuli that made me think “oh I gotta look this up”

      Someone I used to date used to say if you walked into a room for something but forgot what it was, to walk back through the doorway. I think if she was feeling particularly witchy she’d say walk backwards through it.

      It often helped.

    I feel like the memory is the thing I struggle with the most. The wandering mind is bad enough but then when I catch myself I often I don’t have a clue what I was doing. I always just have to leave myself clues around. Everyone tells you to just write stuff down but you can’t just write down absolutely everything. When you say you’re forgetful people think you mean passwords and important details, but it’s absolutely everything.

    I feel like talking to myself out loud helps sometimes. But can’t do it when others are around
